Wandel & Schnell, Architects Inc. was founded on December 7, 1970 by Robert Wandel, AIA and Thomas Schnell, AIA. These two men left their steady jobs and joined forces with future partner, Alan Sulser, CSI with little more than a vision to do things better. Together, they established a practice methodology that has become one of the most revered models in the Midwest. The firm's values are deeply rooted: a collegial studio of architects working diligently to improve lives positively through collaboration with clients, community service, and professional engagement. Architects have always been drawn to practice at WSA Studio because of the culture; recruitment has never been an issue in the 45 years of practice. Technology has changed. Building methods have changed. The type of work has fluctuated. But, throughout the firm's history, the core values have remained rock solid and WSA Studio remains one of the top employment situations for those seeking to make architecture their vocation.
