Saxbe Auditorium is located within Drinko Hall, which houses the Michael E. Moritz College of Law. The renovation focuses on lighting application and new seating to bring a fresh aesthetic and improve functionality for the student body who hold regular meetings there. Acoustical ceiling treatments will provide both a better setting for lectures and a subtle decorative finish, designed to mirror the modern pattern of the wood mid-century wall installation.
The design team is also tasked with re-working the stage and floor to meet ADA accessibility standards. The result will foster inclusive collaboration among the students and speakers who use the space.
