Design for Innovation

WENDY’S 90° LAB

SPEED TO MARKET

This 8,300 SF space is located near The Ohio State University within an existing building at the South Campus Gateway. The design established a baseline incubator space which supports technology innovation. Wendy’s strategically chose this location to attract up-and-coming emerging professionals. The space includes open office teaming environments, presentation and training spaces, product display, and application testing.

PROJECT OUTCOME

Wendy’s space was originally designed to support 40 occupants with the capability to expand to accommodate up to 80 employees as needed. The space has driven success in their organization and now is fully occupied, with a wide range of participants from across the enterprise. 90 degree lab has impacted corporate culture at the home office, where the dress code has been relaxed and a flexible time policy has been adopted for all associates. Wendy’s is harnessing the 90 degree lab to drive customer satisfaction at restaurants through the development of technology applications.
