WSA Cornhole 2023: Non-Profit Partner
We are teaming up with Sanctuary Night for our 9th Annual Cornhole Tournament and Silent Auction, to support their work in our community.
9 years, can you believe it? That’s nearly a decade that we have been holding our annual Cornhole Tournament. We’ve seen it grow from a grill and a couple of cornhole boards to spectacle it is today, complete with a 32-team March Madness-style bracket, live music, local food, and silent auction. But at the heart of all the fun is the goal to raise funds for a local non-profit doing good in our community.
This year we are excited to announce that we are partnering with Sanctuary Night. Sanctuary Night is a sacred space serving vulnerable womxn* who are at risk for sexual exploitation that need a place to rest, eat, connect, and get desired resources. It is a vibrant community led by survivors and champions to promote the flourishing of all who sit at our table. Sanctuary Night opened their doors in Franklinton in May 2022, and has already served over 500 women with thousands of visits. They are working toward the goal of a 24/7 drop-in center, and we are excited to bring everyone together to rally around their work.
So how does it all work? As you may have guessed, the 9th Annual Cornhole Tournament will feature…a cornhole tournament. Stay tuned for the opportunity to sign up for the bracket and toss your hat (or bean bag) in the ring for a chance to write your name into WSA history. But if cornhole isn’t your thing, our studio will also be holding a silent auction. Place your bids on items from some of our favorite brands, events, and more. In addition to the tournament and auction, it’s a party. Attendees will have the chance to meet with members of the team behind the work at Sanctuary Night to learn about their work and ways to get involved. Entertainment will be provided by a popular local band, food will be served by one of our favorite local food trucks, and drinks are provided by local breweries. No matter if you’re a cornhole pro, high bidder, or just up for a good time, there is something to do, all in the name of giving back.
Like always, all proceeds from tournament registration, event tickets, silent auction sales, and the 50/50 raffle will go directly to Sanctuary Night.
