Timothy Hawk Receives Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Engineering
We love celebrating our people doing great work!
We here at WSA all know how special Timothy Hawk, FAIA is, so we love to see when other people recognize his passion and life’s work, too!
Every year, The Ohio State University’s College of Engineering honors “exceptional alumni from across the College of Engineering who have achieved distinction in their fields or through their extraordinary service contributions since graduating from The Ohio State University.”
With over 33 years devoted to the craft, Tim is a nationally recognized architect with an emphasis on workplace evolution and the design of educational environments. In 2019, Tim’s work advocating for the American Institute of Architects culminated in his election to the AIA National Board of Directors. Beyond his nationally recognized work in his field, Tim is a dedicated mentor and educator. For this work, he received the 2020 AIA Ohio Mentor Award.
“My experience at the Knowlton School of Architecture within The Ohio State University’s College of Engineering was life changing. As a young person from a small town on the edge of Appalachia, I was given a world class experience and education to which I am forever grateful.”
Tim continues to pay it forward through teaching classes at Columbus State Community College and by sponsoring students attending OSU’s Knowlton School of Architecture.
We are so proud to have his guidance and leadership driving our course since 2005. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
Thank you for making it so easy to celebrate you!
